Boris Hard Iced Tea
Gravity Defied - Slow-Motion Destruction
Behind the Scenes
For Boris Hard Iced Tea, we aimed to create a disruptive video that would make a real impact on the audience. We took the concept of “hard” literally, depicting the can as incredibly strong and powerful. To bring this idea to life, we used a giant slingshot to launch the cans at a dresser filled with delicate, old-fashioned porcelain pieces, creating a contrast between the old and the new.
We meticulously set up a scene reminiscent of “tea time,” complete with vintage furniture and accessories, and filmed the destruction with a high-speed camera to capture every mesmerizing moment in slow motion.
For this shoot, we built a custom slingshot capable of accurately launching the cans at high speeds. With each porcelain piece being unique, we had limited opportunities to get the perfect shot. Another challenge was ensuring the cans remained intact enough to be recognizable, leading to many failed attempts. However, these outtakes were so entertaining that we compiled them into a bonus reel.
